Salesforce file storage ain’t cheap. That's what we all thought as we hit a storage shortage (say that five times fast) right as my team was tasked with mass-generating another ~160 GB of PDFs.
Lucky for us, we have Ryan McCloskey. With a systematic batch process, he migrated a buttload of content out of Salesforce—while building a shadow structure for the Content Document / Version / Document Link (🙄) data. End users? None the wiser. His custom file management interface kept retrieving files seamlessly, even though many files had hopped to another platform.
