The consultants who railed against vendor lock, then locked in my client
Remembering these con artists I had to work with who would talk about the evils of vendor lock and how they could just rebuild Salesforce (they had to bring in subcontractors to build the UI they were hired for, so no, they couldn't).
At the end of the project they announced they could not turn over the chatbot codebase because they'd designed it to work in a proprietary multi-tenant service. That was not in the contract. 🤣
