We're getting out of Salesforce — who's coming with us?

I’ve been working on the Salesforce platform for an uncomfortably long time. Granted, I've worked with a number of other platforms and languages along the way, but at this point, Salesforce is pretty heavily tied to my reputation, and it’s time to shift that.

One way to make that happen? Help clients who want to escape Salesforce themselves. Or, just throwing this out there, clients who want to migrate off Financial Services Cloud to a much cheaper Sales edition... since they won't let you just downgrade, you have to spin up a new instance altogether.

More and more, I’m seeing businesses frustrated with Salesforce. And as that frustration has been growing, so too have Salesforce competitors' offerings. There are plenty of current Salesforce customers, particularly in the SMB realm, whose use cases can be met by far more affordable CRMs.

Plus, my theory is that we’re heading into a paradigm shift where enterprise clients will just build their own CRMs for less than what they'd spend on a few years of licensing. AI is particularly good at assisting development on systems with well-documented patterns. And yes, I get the complexity of third-party integrations, but system interoperability is a beautiful thing, and seamless integrations have long been part of my services.

For SMBs and nonprofits making the jump, Codality will do our solutioning thang and set them up with a system tailored to how their organization works best.

This feels like a nice symbolic path forward where Codality can provide value. Who better to migrate you out of Salesforce than people with decades of experience not only in Salesforce but many other CRMs and database-centric applications?

Jessie has spent 20+ years architecting and delivering software for organizations where complexity is the norm — financial services, insurance, nonprofits, and regulated industries where getting it wrong isn't an option. She specializes in the hard problems: unique operational workflows, cross-system integrations, and the kind of compliance requirements (HIPAA, CCPA, SOC 2) that most developers treat as someone else's job.

At Codality, she leads every principal engagement from discovery through delivery — because she's seen what happens when that thread gets cut.
